K9 Division
Certainty, in
about a minute.
Narcotics and explosive detection teams that clear a room, a vehicle, a locker bank or a cargo pallet faster than a search warrant can be typed — and are trained to protect life and property once they get there.
Narcotics Detection
Our narcotics detection teams are trained to detect cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl and several other illegal drugs — in vehicles, lockers, dorms, workplaces and treatment facilities.
Explosive Detection
Our explosive detection teams are trained to detect more than 20 dangerous substances, and have completed training through the TSA 3PK9 program for cargo screening at commercial port facilities.
Tracking & Protection
These are dual-purpose teams. They are also trained to protect life and property through defensive tactics, and can track a fleeing suspect or a missing person.
TSA 3PK9
Cleared for the cargo that can't wait.
Third-Party Explosives Detection Canine screening exists because freight moves faster than fixed screening equipment. Our teams have completed TSA 3PK9 training for cargo screening at commercial port facilities — which means your pallets get cleared on your dock, on your schedule.
- Screening at ports, terminals, freight forwarders and warehouses
- Handler and canine credentials available for your compliance file
- Scheduled recurring screening or on-call surge coverage
- Coordinated with our uniformed officers for full gate-to-dock control

Where teams deploy
- Schools & campuses — contraband sweeps and threat response
- Workplaces — reasonable-suspicion and policy-driven searches
- Treatment & correctional facilities — intake and room sweeps
- Events & venues — pre-event sweeps and bag screening lines
- Ports & logistics — TSA 3PK9 cargo screening
- Property managers — common-area and unit turnover sweeps
Two ways to train
Sponsor a course
Host a class at your facility and we'll bring the curriculum, the instructors and the certification standard to you.
Send us your team
We'll train your canines and your handlers to the NAPWD standard, then certify them.
Training & certification
Build the capability in-house.
Our instructors are NAPWD certified to train both canines and handlers. Whether you're a police agency standing up a K9 unit, a corrections facility adding detection capability, or a private company that would rather own the asset than rent it, we can sponsor a course or bring our trainers to you.
- Green-dog selection and imprinting through to certification
- Handler development — reading the dog, search patterns, courtroom-ready documentation
- Maintenance training and recertification schedules
- Agency-level program and policy support through our agency support division
